Michael Kwun first joined Keker & Van Nest in 2000, and rejoined the firm in 2009 after stints as Managing Counsel, Litigation, at Google, and as a Senior Staff Attorney in the intellectual property group at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Prior to first joining Keker & Van Nest, Michael clerked for the Honorable Claudia Wilken in the Northern District of California.

Michael received his law degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law, where he won the James Patterson McBaine Honors Moot Court Competition, was executive editor of the Berkeley Women's Law Journal, was Web editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, volunteered with the Workers' Rights Clinic and interned with the housing unit of the East Bay Community Law Center. Michael received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he was a Bentley Scholar, a Regent Scholar, and a National Merit Scholar.
