Ben Berkowitz represents corporations and individuals in all types of complex litigation, including intellectual property matters, commercial disputes, and white collar criminal cases.

Ben has represented clients in cases involving claims of antitrust violations, patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, copyright and trademark infringement, violations of the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act, fraud, unfair business practices, breaches of contract, professional negligence, defamation, and money laundering. He has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including Internet services, venture capital investment, professional services, software design, healthcare, and financial services.

Ben also has an active pro bono practice and has represented low income clients in criminal and immigration cases. In 2009, Ben tried a four-day jury trial on behalf of a pro bono criminal defendant, resulting in a complete dismissal of all charges.

Before joining Keker & Van Nest in 2006, Ben clerked for the Hon. Marjorie O. Rendell of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2005. While at Harvard, he served as an executive editor of the Harvard Civil Rights - Civil Liberties Law Review and as a student attorney for the Harvard Criminal Justice Institute, where he represented indigent juvenile and adult clients in criminal proceedings. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, politics and economics.
