To enhance the firm’s diversity and encourage inclusiveness, we provide a successful mentor program, and also reach out to diverse candidates through minority student groups, job fairs and pipeline programs. Our policies aimed at work-life balance include flexible work arrangements and the most generous leave policies of any law firm in the country.
We also understand that the skyrocketing cost of a legal education hinders many individuals hoping to enter our profession, and so are launching the Keker & Van Nest Diversity Scholarship to benefit diverse law students.
We are also proud to support community programs that affirm this commitment to diversity. We were an original signatory to the No Glass Ceiling Initiative of the Bar Association of San Francisco in May 2002. We are also a signatory to the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Goals and Timetables for Minority Hiring and Advancement.
In 2009, the Minority Bar Coalition, a network of more than 25 diverse bar associations, recognized Keker & Van Nest’s exemplary work to further diversity by awarding us the Diversity Champion award.
